The Desert Life is Feelin’ A Little Christmas-y

Christmas Tree

Yay, 15 days more and its Christmas day! Lucky are those who are going home to the Philippines for the holidays. I am four times envious of you! This coming Christmas day is going to be my fourth consecutive December 25 in Dubai, away from my family and away from the season’s culture I grew up with. Huhuhu. Look at these UP Lantern Parade circa 2006 I salvaged from my Multiply site.

Huhuhu missing everything about Christmas back home.

Anyway, the holiday’s spirit is slowly creeping its way into Dubai malls and homes, and to my blog, too! I “recycled” the Christmas Tree and Parol (used as background) sketches I did last year and placed them on my header over there! Check ’em out!

I am currently DIY-ing my Christmas gifts to family and friends that’s why my blogging schedule has been compromised. :S But fingers crossed, in the coming days, I will be updating this blog with Christmas-related stuff and hopefully all those blog entries in my drafts folder.

I will be ending this blog with a photo of my last year’s (and still this year’s) tabletop Christmas tree. I’ve been looking for something unique and easy to assemble and keep after the holiday. I found this little wooden tree in a souvenir shop in Karama Souq and fell in love with it in an instant. Isn’t it a cutie? :)
