Any visit to Wafi wouldn’t be complete without a lovely dinner in the mall’s nice range of award-winning restaurants. Located in the heart of the Pyramids section, Thai Chi is definitely a standout, not only because its location doesn’t match the cuisine it serves, but also because it offers two cuisines under one roof!
We’ve passed by this restaurant a couple of times and as always, we’re intrigued with its facade that is designed to look like an oriental garden – from its arched timber bridge down to the wooden accents. It seemed mismatched but who cares, it’s Asian and its design boldly screams that. As soon as we entered its beaded curtain, there was an instant change of air. We asked for a table for two and were escorted into the heart of the restaurant. Cozy and romantic – definitely a date place!
Hindu carvings graced the restaurant’s orange walls
Lovely accent pieces in every corner
The menu is divided into two – Chinese and Thai cuisines.
I had Gai Yang, grilled marinated chicken with garlic and pepper served with sticky rice, which is really yummy and very heavy.
Boyf, on the other hand, had a plate of Khao pad with beef. It’s basically fried rice with egg and some veggies.
Food was yummy and the ambiance, just perfect. Service is great and the bill, although a bit pricey, is totally worth it! We enjoyed every bit of our dinner date in Thai Chi. Definitely recommended!
